Suazo recounts how, at just 16, he was pulled into a life of crime, running with older guys and constantly carrying guns. His older, more experienced friend, Jey G, would warn their enemies that once they engaged, there was no coming back from death. Suazo found himself involved in frequent shootouts with rival gangs or those who had betrayed them or killed a friend. Despite feeling immense guilt and begging God for forgiveness, he realized he had dug himself into a deep hole, making escape from this violent life seem impossible. Each step forward only pulled him deeper into the darkness.
